Years ago I was overweight, depressed, and chronically tired. I believed that if I lost the weight I would be better. I would be social, confident, sexy, a leader, and I would love myself. I tried diets and exercise. I went to the doctor, I ate all the vegetables, I even cut out carbs for a nightmare of a time. (I am so sorry carbs, never again). I lost no weight. I gave up and more importantly, I gave in. 

I gave up on listening to all of the authority figures and diets. I chose to start listening to my body and trusting her. As I built this new relationship with my body I finally noticed some changes. I would feel pings at the grocery store for certain foods and I felt pulled towards moving my body in different ways. Still, something was missing. I was sabotaging myself from making real progress. So I worked on self development and faced my fears about being fat.  

In my shadow, I learned that I was so afraid of being fat, but I was more afraid of being skinny. Unconsciously, I was comfortable being fat. I secretly wanted to stay that way so that I wouldn’t have to be this sexy, confidant, leader of a woman. It was easier to be invisible, unsocial, and untested.

Years later I AM this woman. With my three pillars, Conscious Eating, Shadow work, and Radical Self Love, I disconnected my body and food from my self worth. I followed my own inner guide to nourish and move my body. Since then I’ve lost weight, I’ve gained weight and fluctuated everywhere in between. It doesn’t matter anymore to me. Either way, I love myself where ever I am at. And most importantly, I am the woman I was sabotaging myself out of becoming. Now I want to help YOU start your health transformation journey. I want to show you how incredibly worthy and beautiful you are. 

Conscious Eating

Conscious eating is all about HOW you eat. Conscious eating is an experience of food. There aren’t any rigid rules beyond paying attention. It is radical and it is fun! 

With conscious eating I teach you how to build a relationship with food and with your body. You will notice and understand your body’s hunger cues. You will know when you have had enough and not feel the mindless urge to keep eating. 

I also teach conscious eating as a tool to process emotions. This is especially helpful for emotional eating. Using this tool, you can change the habits that sabotage you AND IT IS EASY! The discipline comes in being mindful and putting away distracting screens. When you are in this space the bad habits aren’t battling you. When you are present your brain can see other options  and intuitively chooses them.  

Shadow Work

Shadow work was coined by one of the early psychologists, Carl Jung. He defines it as the gateway to the unconscious mind. It is the place we store everything we don’t like about ourselves or that we don’t think fits in with the socialy acceptable identity we created. It is where we sweep thoughts, feelings, and potential under the rug. 

The purpose of Jung’s shadow work is to integrate that shadow into the whole self. When we integrate, we have access to our full potential. It is work because so much of what is in the shadow is from trauma and conditioning. It involves a lot of digging, accepting, and unlearing. 

I teach you shadow work as a tool to stop sabotaging yourself.

Radical Self Love

Radical self love is a rebellious act because it does not require permission, it does not cost anything, and it makes you more difficult to manipulate.

Self love is more than liking your personality and the way you look. It is unlearning the constant conditioning to hate yourself and give your power away.

I teach the kind of self love that requires not only seeing the darker parts of you but accepting them as well. It is a process that isn’t for the faint of heart.

March 8 at 11:00 – 12:00

This first day will be spent on Conscious Eating. You will learn:

  • How to eat consciously
  • How to use food as a tool to process emotions
  • How to release shame and guilt
  • How to detach food from self worth

 

March 10 at 11:00 – 12:00

 

This day will be spent on Shadow Work. You will learn:

 

  • How to create a foundation for shadow work
  • How to recognize and stop self sabotage
  • How to create a growth mindset
  • How to use and practice shadow work tools, we will be focusing on journaling.

 

March 13 at 11:00 – 12:00

The final day will be focused on Radical Self Love. You will Learn:

  • How to take radical responsibility
  • How to apply radical acceptance 
  • Self care rituals
  • How to process emotions with body movement

All of the classes will be through zoom and will be recorded, in case you can’t watch in person.

Being someone who has been overweight most of her life I was extremely skeptical about starting this intuitive eating program. However what have I got to lose? It turns out I had a lot more to gain.

I have formed a new relationship with food, and while I may still not be happy with my body I have learned to appreciate it, love it, and trust the changes that I’m going through will provide the outcome I’m looking for.
